Leaving the Doomer Camp

Well folks, I think I've gone about as far as I can go down the doomer path without losing what little remains of my sanity. Taken to its extreme, doomerism becomes little more than a nihilistic death wish, at which point suicide becomes the obvious solution. To avoid this fate, I'll be posting on my other blog, thesingularitarian.blogspot.com, and thinking more creative thoughts about possible futures for humanity on this planet and beyond. I've summarized my thoughts on doomerism vs. Singularitarianism there, and hope other recovering doomers will join me in exploring more constructive visions of life in a future that is uncertain but still infinite in all directions.
